World’s largest offshore wind farm

On the 23rd Sept 2010, Vattenfall opened the world’s largest offshore wind farm, the Thanet Offshore Wind Farm, situated off the south east coast of England. Consisting of  100 turbines, the wind farm will generate electricity equivalent to the annual consumption of over 200,000 British households.

EDF set to sell off UK electricity distribution networks
